5 things You Didn’t Know about CoolSculpting

CoolSculpting is becoming more popular in the beauty community. We can’t blame influencers from talking to highly about this life-changing procedure. The talk of a noninvasive procedure that jumpstarts a weight loss journey is exciting, but there are a few things we want you to know before booking your session with us at Miami Fat Freeze.

Here are five things we bet you didn’t know about one of the most popular fat freezing procedures:

It will not remove saggy skin.

Although Coolsculpting is an amazing procedure to remove stubborn fat, it’s not going to get rid of your loose skin. We’re sorry to break the news. Coolsculpting is excellent to jumpstart your weight loss career, but it most likely will not cause your skin to sag. Any saggy skin may be a result of a fantastic work out plan in combination with Coolsculpting. If you have loose skin, you may want to consider a skin tightening procedure that will give you the ultimate body you’re looking for.

The number of treatments needed varies

Everyone’s body is different. Because our goals and health are unique, the number of sessions needed to achieve your ideal results vary. Some patients are looking to eliminate a small pocket of fat that can be treated in only one session. A single session can remove up to 20-25%  of fat, so one zap may do the trick. For others, that may not be the case. If you have several pockets of fat on your body that seem as if they will never go away, you may need two to six treatments. These treatments can be planned every six weeks ultimately making your Fat Freezing Procedure longer. Your skin condition, doctor’s recommendation, and your budget will also factor into your CoolSculpting journey.

There are very few side effects

One of the best upsides to not going under the knife for your CoolSculpting session is that there are very few side effects. Since we’re not cutting into you, expect minimal side effects. Fewer than 1 in 10 patients report pain after a CoolSculpting session. Some side effects include a tugging sensation at the treatment site. Also, you may feel minor pain, aching or stinging at the treatment site. This sensation usually goes away less than a week after treatment. Lastly, very few patients experience temporary redness, bruising, and skin sensitivity at the treatment site. Again, these symptoms only last a few days after your fat freezing procedure.

You can see results in only a few weeks

Being patient is critical during any freezing procedure. You may begin to notice results after four weeks, but the most dramatic changes come after two months. Because fat freezing procedures work best with exercise and diet, you will shortly see the results you desire if you remain consistent. As your body continues to remove the shattered fat cells, you will continue to improve even after six months.

CoolSculpting is not a weight loss tool

Most people assume that CoolSculpting will be the one thing that changes their life forever in regards to their weight loss journey. While we’d love to think that you can lose 10 pounds immediately after one session, it’s not ideal. Any fat freezing procedure should be used as a jumpstart to a weight loss journey. Additionally, a fat freezing procedure can be used to maintain good looks after falling off track from diet and exercise. Candidates for CoolSculpting are in good health and not too far from their ideal weight. Keep in mind that fat freezing is not a supplement for proper diet and exercise, so keep going hard in the gym.
